To Malmø
Yesterday, we went to Sweden, To Malmø as you might have guessed from the title. It was a lot of fun. It was a somewhat short car ride, followed by a somewhat very expensive bridge. In town, we walked all around downtown. After that, we went to my dad's old friend's house. We had yummy burgers, and I played with their 2 kids, who were very energetic. When it was time to leave, the girl didn't want us to, and when we got into the car, she started crying.
It was a fun trip, and now I have been to Sweden!!

Trip to Sønderborg
This last week, my entire grade was on a week-long field trip! We all met at the train station in downtown Roskilde, and then took a train to a town called Sønderborg in Jylland and Als. It was a 3.5 hour long train ride, but soon enough we arrived. We smoothly cought a bus over to the Als part of town, and then showed up at the hotelish place. We couldn't go into our rooms immediately so we had to put all our baggage in a small room by the entrance. Then, without wasting any time, we went out to find lunch. It was about a 2 mile walk over to the walking street, where we found a burger/hotdog place and ate. After spending an hour waiting for the food to be prepared, (because there were so many of us), we headed out to the Sønderborg castle. We walked around with a tour guide, and had some fun. Then, the teachers let us go, by ourselves, back to the hotel. I was quite surprised by this, because a. we had only just seen the town, and b. because... well... it just would NEVER happen in USA. Our little group, got an ice cream and then headed straight home. When we got back, we played some soccer, and then ate dinner, played more soccer, and then hung out in our little room. In our room, slept, Mikkel, Rasmus, Jens, Christian, and I. We hacked the TV, because you had to pay 5 dollars otherwise, and then went to sleep.
On Tuesday, the grade went to Germany to see a castle, but Jens and I had forgotten our passports. It was a let down, but we had a fine time. We slept in until about 9, and then walked into town. Then, Jens said, "why dont we go to the tanning salon and get a tan". I was not expecting this... We decided to but we didnt have any coins. So we went into town. In town, I bought a zippo lighter, which you can do magic tricks with. Then we bought a couple of Coca-Colas, and went back to the tanning booth, this time with coins. After we were done, we went back to the hotel and slept for about an hour, until the rest of the class showed up. From here on out, it was the same as yesterday.
On Wednesday, we went to Dybbøl Mølle (Mølle = mill). The cool thing about this mill, is that it still works! It was about a 10 Kilometer walk there, and about a 8 Kilometer walk back.
After the mill, we went to a fort from 1864, when the Danes were fighting back against the Germans. We saw the barracks and the kitchens and the smithy and all that fun stuff. Then we walked home, and ate dinner. After dinner, the teachers decided that we hadn't walked enough, so they planned a walk around the city. It was about a 10 kilometer walk and a pretty nice tour of the city. When we got home again, we played some soccer, and at 10, we went into our room. This night was different, because we had a case of like 30 energy drinks. Jens and Christian, decided they would drink a lot of them and stay up late. They ended up drinking about 10 each and stayed up until 2:30. It was very crazy. Just when I managed to go to bed however, I woke up with a huge glob of toothpaste in my hair!! Luckily, i saw Christian above my head, so I wiped as much as I could into my hand and spread it all over his face.
Thursday, the day before we left, we went to Danfoss, which is a theme park in Jylland. It was more a science experience than a theme park experience. But it was fun. My favorite 2 things were a. that all the workers rode on ....... brain fart. cant think of the word. and b. well, just watch the video!
Then on Friday, it was time for the long ride home. It was very similar to the trip there. I got a ride home with Jacob and Rasmus and that was that!
